And Here I Thought Frank Viola Would Turn Out to be the Old Fogey

Here's a nice little story about what Brett Saberhagen is up to today. At least it was nice until he dropped this quote:

"The thing I dislike most about major league baseball today is that some players don't respect the game," he said. "I'm not saying everyone, or even most. But it seems like some guys are just playing for a paycheck. They don't recognize the opportunity they have."



Um, Brett? You made $47M in your career, which began a century or so after retired ballplayers started saying that sort of thing about "the kids today." Please spare us.
