Baseball Makes Inroads in England

Well, maybe. From the Derbyshire Evening Telegraph:

TOP STORY: KILLER USED A BASEBALL BAT

A baseball bat was used to bludgeon a 20-year-old man to death in a Derby street, police believe. Melvyn Hadley junior was battered and then left to die on a patch of waste ground close to his Normanton home in the early hours of Sunday.

I don't mean to make light of a murder, but since I started this blog, Google News searches for "baseball" have brought up stories about people killing or assaulting other people with baseball bats in the U.K. almost every single day. I'll admit that my first impulse upon reading these hasn't been "Oh, how awful." Rather, it's been "where are they getting all of these baseball bats in the U.K.?"
