The Beat Goes On

I always wondered about that guy who beats the bass drum at all of the Tribe games:


Adams, a lifelong Indians fan, figures he has taken the drum, part of a $25 set, to all but 34 of the more than 2,500 home games the Indians have played since Aug. 24, 1973.


Been doin' it for 34 years, and has missed 34 games. I'm dyin' to know why he misses that one game a year, yet the New York frickin' Times doesn't say anything about it in the article.
