The Brewers Save Bad GMs From Themselves

By exercising its option on Mike Cameron, Milwaukee has -- in the words of MLB.com -- shrunk the market for centerfielders.

Given the crazy contracts that teams have given out to centerfielders like Andruw Jones, Aaron Rowand, and Juan Pierre over the past couple of offseasons, fans of every team in the market for a centerfielder should probably thank the Brewers profusely for removing yet another temptation.

If Gary Matthews Jr. is a ShysterBall reader, he's offended that you left him off that list.

How dare you mention crazy contracts for centerfielders and not mention Gary Matthews Jr.? Unbelievable.
